Alla Eliseeva
My name is Alla Eliseeva. I was born and raised in Vyshny Volochyok. By training I'm a mathematician and a psychologist; for many years I taught in school and raised three sons.
I came to painting late. As a child I was told I had no talent for drawing — and for nearly half a century I picked up neither pencil nor brush. When my sons grew up and I finally had time for myself, I decided to try again. The result surprised even me: it turned out this was mine.
Little by little I explored different techniques and settled on the two closest to my heart — oil painting and watercolor. People began to notice my work: I was invited to group exhibitions in Tver, Moscow, and St. Petersburg, and solo shows soon followed.

Today my paintings are held in private collections across Russia and abroad — in Tver, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Maksatikha, and Abkhazia; one work traveled all the way to the United States. Some I've painted more than once, at the request of those who took them to heart.
Painting isn't my only love. I write poetry and have led a literary circle for eight years now, and I sing — in the folk choir "Medok" and the academic choir "Singing Hearts." Poetry, painting, and voice are the three pillars of my life.
Every piece I paint with care and love. I would be glad if one of them speaks to you as well.
Creativity is my meaning. Without it, without growing and learning, I can't imagine myself — for me it's like breathing.
